Plenty of poultry for everyone
16 august 2010JSC Cherkizovo Group is one of the largest Russian vertically integrated farming companies and includes the following 3 principal productions departments: meat processing, pig farming and poultry farming.
Year 2010 is another phase of the Group's investment project that involves extension of capacities of Vasilyevskaya Poultry Factory. The project is financed with both the Group's own resources (1,1 billion rubles) and funds loaned from the RF Savings Bank (2,5 billion rubles).
At present JSC Vasilyevskaya Poultry Factory is the leading poultry producer in Volga Federal District and the main supplier of Petelinskaya Poultry Factory in Moscow. Current capacity of the factory is 60 000 metric tons of poultry meat per year. This investment project will help double the capacities to 120 000 metric tons of poultry meat per year.
The new facility will house an incubator house for 105 million eggs per year which is to be one of the largest incubator houses in Europe, over 100 new poultry houses and a state-of-the-art killing unit for 8 thousand heads per hour.
The facility is being constructed in Vasilyevka village, Penza region, using advanced prefabricated structures. Sandwich panels manufactured by Thermosteps-MTL will be used as building envelopes for the new poultry houses. The total amount of sandwich panels to be delivered is 43 000 sq.m.
The new facility is to be commissioned in late 2010.
