Upgrade with Thermosteps-MTL products
28 october 2011TNK-BP, a Russian-British oil company, launches a large-scale program of Saratov Oil Refinery upgrade.
The program is scheduled for 2011 to 2012. Over 300 million dollars will be invested in the project. TNK-BP plans to equip Saratov Oil Refinery with an isomerization unit (capacity 300 thousand ton per year) and retrofit its fuel hydrotreater to start producing Euro 5 branded products and increase refining amount from 6 to 7-7,5 million tons per year. The contract work is to be completed before August 10, 2012.
Saratov Oil Refinery was founded in 1934 and is one of the oldest Russian oil refineries. Currently SOR manufactures over 20 product types. Average yearly refining amount is approximately 6 million tons. Most of the products are exported.

Sandwich panels manufactured by JSC Thermosteps-MTL are used as building envelopes for new facilities of Saratov Oil Refinery. The quality of these sandwich panels conforms to all international standards for construction materials and, therefore, to the requirements specified by the project developers.
A total of 3 100 sq.m. of wall and roof Thermosteps-MTL sandwich panels was ordered. The sandwich panels are supplied by Omega Trade House LLC, an authorized Thermosteps-MTL partner in Kovrov.
