55 years Thermosteps-MTL has been producing and selling heat insulation material for a wide range of construction projects, and for more than 8 years it has been a supplier of sandwich panels.
Thermosteps-MTL was set up in 1994 on the basis of a mineral wool plant established in 1957. In 1975 the main production of the plant, ie mineral wool plates, was rewarded with the National Quality mark.
At the end of 2001 the process of technical modernization of production at Thermosteps-MTL plant was finished, having resulted in introducing a plant with three independent high-technology lines that are smoothly and compactly combined:
- 2 line of producing mineral insulator on the base of water-repellent basalt fiber
- line of coloring Zn-steel sheets in rollers
- 2 line of producing constructional monolithic panels of a sandwich type
Valuable 50-year experience in producing heat insulation materials has made the plant one of the leading enterprises in this sphere. A systematic approach to management is a necessary condition for constant production improvement, stable development of Thermosteps-MTL company and increasing of its competitiveness.
Thermosteps-MTL carries the Certificate of British Standards Institution to Quality System that confirms its compliance with the requirements of the International Standard ISO 9001:2008. In 2008 the process of company certification according to the International Standard of Ecological Management System - ISO 14001:2004 was finished. At present, there are 850 employees in the company. In 2008 Thermosteps-MTL successfully obtained the Certificate of Conformance of the current management system of occupational safety and health to the Standard BS OHSAS 18001:2007 requirements.
Thermosteps-MTL is an up-to-date competitive plant with a certified system of Quality Management and the latest production equipment.
In 2006 Thermosteps-MTL became the first company in Russia to produce 1 000 0000 sq. m. of sandwich panels.
The Company's strategic planning involves expanding the production range and mastering new types of production. In 2005 on Thermosteps-MTL site a new automatic line of corner panels Thermopanel production was put into operation. In 2008 Thermosteps-MTL completed an investment project on starting the second line of production of constructional panels. In 2010 the company is planning to put into operation the second line of production of basalt mineral wool.
Since October, 2008 Thermosteps-MTL has belonged to the Direct Investment Fund Baring Vostok Capital Partners that put in administration a team of new managers.
The dealer network of Thermosteps-MTL includes more than 40 companies that trust us, with more than 60% of which have been working with us for 5 years and more.
Our 50-year experience, usage of technologies of system service allowed us to take part in the reconstruction of the town of Lensk after the flood in 2001; panels Thermopanel are used on power engineering objects in the areas of explosion doors (Hydroelectric Power Plant in Perm), on petrochemical plants (petroleum refineries and petrochemical plants in Nizhnekamensk) and on nuclear power stations (Novovoronezskaya nuclear power station), as well as on sport structures (Skating Center, Kolomna; Horse racing complex, Kazan; facilities for the Universiade 2013, Kazan). The panels are also used for constructing logistic centers (Eurasia-Logistic, the North Domodedovo) and shopping centers (SC Mega, Kazan; METRO, Moscow; SC Kosmosport, Samara).
For the whole period of existence and functioning of panels production line, Thermosteps-MTL has helped to complete more than 10,000 construction projects, that is 10 millions sq. m. of panels.
Among Regular customers of Thermosteps-MTL there are such companies as OAO Taneko, OAO Surgutneftgas, ZAO Tander – Magnit network, METRO Cash & Carry, UK Mall Management – Park House, OOO Castorama RUS.
Thermosteps-MTL was awarded with many prizes from the Government of the Russian Federation within its professional field, and the company is also a repeated winner of the Russian National Competition on the best industrial enterprise of construction materials and building industry.
IFor three years, starting in 2009 Thermosteps-MTL was recognized as the Leader of the Russian building complex.
