Ventilation. Explanatory note
Air flues (straight and profile) of a round section are made of a definite size and kinds fixed:
- ВСН 353-86 “Projecting and using of air flues made of unified parts”
- ТУ 4863-016-01395087-2006
- СНиП 3.05-01-85 “Internal sanitary - engineering systems”
You should maximally use round air flues. Generally a square air flue may be changed to a round one without any extension of aligning of an air flue passageway. Calculating bonding aligning for square air flues they don’t take into account the height of flanges – 40-60 mm and necessary bonding zone for wrench of bolts in flanges` corner. This space you may use for changing to round air flues with nipple joint. Air flues with nipple joint have no overhanding parts demand much less space for bonding.
Practically always a package of round air flues takes less space than correspond in the space of section square air flues.
- surface square of a round air flue is 12% smaller than the surface square of the same in space of section square air flue. Within 1:4 correlation of square air flue’s sides this difference grows up to 40%. This makes substitution of one flat air flue for some round parallel air flues effective.
- for thermal and fireproof isolation of round air flues it is enough to use a thinner layer of isolation than for a square one under the same circumstances. Wasting of isolation also decreases greatly.
- for detailing you should use only standard profile details of minimal length.
- order round right parts of maximal length which is convenient for transfer. Remember that the longer air flue you use the fewer places of connection and air leak there are and the cheaper a bonding is.
- the usage of standard knots allows you to “survive” in spite of all the changes in the project and to continue working without any loss. When the project is being changed all the demount air flues may be used again because they are standard. So when you are changing your project having some standard air flues you can begin bonding at no time and bring all the necessary details later.
- the more standard details are there in your order the less waste you have when bonding. All unused standard elements may be used once more in the other projects.
- for projecting of modern systems of ventilation and air-conditioning it is possible to use profile elements of air flues’ nets, because existing technologies of round air flues production let produce these elements of high quality.
